INTRODUCTION
It is blessed with a rare bio-diversity, inter-alia, and 175 rare aromatic & medicinal plant species found in the State. It has almost all major climatic zones, making it amenable to various commercial opportunities in horticulture, floriculture, and agriculture. It has vast tourism potential in adventure, leisure, and eco-tourism. The State is rich in mineral deposits like limestone, marble, rock phosphate, dolomite, magnesite, copper, gypsum, etc. It is also known as Uttar- Khand because of its location in the north direction, or as Devbhumi {Land Of Gods} due to the abundance of spiritual temples like Kedarnath, Badrinath, Gangotri, Yamunotri, Hemkund Sahib, etc.
There are three World Heritage Sites in Uttarakhand i.e. Valley Of Flowers National Park, Nanda Devi, and Nanda Devi National Park. Uttarakhand is divided into 13 districts, 78 Tehsils, and 95 community development blocks. The two regions are namely Garhwal Region and Kumaon Region. Further, these two regions are divided into 13 districts for better government supervision. Those 13 districts are Dehradun, Haridwar, Chamoli, Rudraprayag, Tehri Garhwal, Pauri Garhwal, and Uttarkashi in the Garhwal region and Almora, Pithoragarh, Nainital, Udham Singh Nagar, Bageshwar, and Champawat in the Kumaon district.
